The project

Materials

Rammed earth

Woven palm

Hand-thrown clay

Raw sandstone

Every material came from within three hundred kilometres of the site. Walls are rammed earth from the wadi floor, ceilings are woven palm, and the basins were thrown by potters in Al Ahsa.

A room for the view

Each suite has a single deep window seat facing the rock face. Everything else, from the bed to the bath, is arranged so the window stays the focus.

Guests tell us the rooms feel as if they grew out of the canyon.
